Psychotherapy with a focus on emotion at its core.
Individual Therapy based in Iowa for individuals seeking change. The way I support people is rooted in a foundation of my values, in this way I’ll guide you to experience new possibilities.

How I work

In addition to the critical importance of establishing a warm and trusting relationship, I hold two values for therapy:

My First Value
Therapy is a co-creation between you and me.
My part in the co-creation is I’m with you. I’m with you every step as you explore the range of your experiences. When appropriate to the moment, I may offer you a new thought, a new direction, or a new language to change a perception, a direction or to open up new possibilities and choices.

My Second Value
You already possess the innate wisdom that will guide our work.
Trusting your innate wisdom, I follow your lead on what’s important in the moment. Tuning into thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and events past and present we explore what is important to you. I follow your pace, and your timing, while also offering suggestions or prompts when appropriate.

I’m informed by years of experience with learning and synthesizing powerful therapeutic approaches.
This gives me a wide range of options to best fit you, what resonates with you, and what will ultimately facilitate the goals you’ve set out.

Jennifer is a long-time, valued friend and colleague. Through this I know she is a highly competent and skilled clinician. And, beyond that, her personal warmth, humor and integrity invites connection, and for her clients, a trust in her commitment to their growth.
